La Paz, the capital of Baja California Sur, Mexico, is located on the shores of the Sea of Cortez, about 100 miles north of Los Cabos and about 1,000 miles south of San Diego. The Bay of La Paz is located on the eastern side of the Baja Peninsula about 100 miles north of Los Cabos and about 1,000 miles south of San Diego.
